Exam Week Checklist
One page to map the week, protect retrieval practice, and walk into the room prepared — without inventing a new app stack.
1. Week map (once)
- List every exam date, time, room, and allowed materials
- Rank topics by weight × how shaky they feel (not by vibe)
- Block 2–4 closed-book retrieval slots per exam on your calendar
- Park admin (forms, travel, group chats) in one 20-minute slot
- Decide what you will not study this week (protect depth)
2. Daily retrieval (each study day)
- Start with a blank-page dump: write what you remember, then check
- One timed practice set (or past question) — no open notes while answering
- Mark misses only: one line “why wrong” + one fix (formula, definition, step)
- Phone out of reach or Do Not Disturb for the block
- End with a 5-minute tomorrow cue (first topic + start time)
3. Night-before
- Light review only — no new chapters after dinner if you can help it
- Pack bag / folder: ID, pens, calculator, water, snacks, notes policy sheet
- Charge devices; set two alarms; pin room + start time somewhere visible
- Skip the all-nighter if you can help it — sleep beats a foggy brain
- Close tabs / silence group chats until after the exam
4. Morning-of bag + head check
- Re-check bag contents against the night-before list
- Eat something familiar; leave early enough for a calm arrival
- One 3-minute warm-up: key formulas or outline from memory only
- At the desk: name, date, instructions skim before writing
- After: quick brain dump of shaky topics for the next exam (optional)
